Signal is led by 6 Young Producers; all artists under 28 who grew up in and make work in Swindon. It is a dynamic mix of performance, participation, professional development and pop-up surprises! It is a response to a series of consultations with Swindon’s young people to design and deliver what they feel is needed in their town.
In January 2024, a team of young artists were assembled to create change in their local community. They were asked to think of what they would’ve wanted to see as kids growing up as budding artists in Swindon; a place previously deemed to have nothing in terms of support or careers in art. The events and activities that they have brought on board are all things that will help the current generation of young people fully explore their potential in their hometown.

The launch of Swindon’s first Signal Festival. Featuring specially-invited performances from the finest of youth talent in music, dance, theatre, film and spoken word. Join us to celebrate the young artists making work in our town. Be there at the very beginning!
Swindon Dance is located in the old Town Hall building adjoining the Central Library.
The nearest car parks are at the Regent Circus Complex car park.
There is no parking, expect for disabled Blue Badge holders, outside of Swindon Dance in Regent Circus. Disable parking is limited to4 Blue Badge Disabled Holders.
