Our Professional Artist Programme aims to support young to mid-career independent professional artists, choreographers, and producers at various stages in their career development and reflect the different genre in today’s diverse dance ecology.
What we offer
NEW Southwest Associate Artist
This joint venture by Pavilion Dance South West and Swindon Dance brings together their passion and commitment to support the development of careers of professional dance artists in the South West. . We are no longer taking applications.

In-kind Space for Artists
Alongside this programme, we offer our dance studios free to artists, choreographers and dance companies for research and development or rehearsals. We have a number of studios, one with an attached meeting room and small kitchen and a studio theatre – The Court Theatre which can be used a dance studio or small-scale professional theatre.

Young Professional Programme
Supporting young dancers within five years of graduating from a three year full-time training at Vocational College, Dance Conservatoire or equivalent as they start out in the professional world. We are no longer taking applications

Making Connections
Making Connections is a monthly free drop in event for Swindon and Southwest creatives that offers a held space for arts professionals and community artists to be together. Each session will have a practical component (2-hour workshop led by a guest artist), which will be followed by a networking/informal meet facilitated by the Making Connections team. The Making Connections team are Adrienne Hart (Artistic Director, Neon Dance) and Sarah Ferris (Swindon based dance artist and teacher).

Meet the artists
From newly graduated dancers just starting out in their careers to more experienced performers, choreographers and artists, We continue to be an artistic hub where artists have a free rein to experiment and grow their art unhindered by any constraints or pressures to produce finished works.
