Discover the vibrant rhythms of African dance in Swindon with Dance Roots Africa (DRA). DRA are working on ‘removing barriers to dance’ and invites you to join a dance class.
We’re thrilled to offer a Masterclass in Afrobeats. The classes are pay what you can starting at £4 – £20, this is to support the growth and development of dance in Swindon.
Dance Roots Africa are committed to bringing the best of African dance to our community, with a focus on Afrobeats. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just starting, our classes cater to all skill levels and provide a fun and inclusive environment to explore your passion for dance.

Your teacher:
Precious
Born and raised in Nigeria, Precious Onyenekwu Tatah is choreographer, model and a professional Dancer. Versatile but specialises in Afro dance. During the pandemic, she movement directed a short film for the BBC in collaboration with Arts Council England and have been spotted performing at several events such as; One Africa Music Fest, Nottinghill carnival, Felabration, Africa week UK and also with great Afro artists such as Patoranking, Fuse Odg, Awilo Longomba, Mr Eazi, Tiwa Savage and many more. Precious has been teaching group & 1:1 classes in Bristol for several years, she also founded the Culture Fusion Dance Society while studying at UWE Bristol.
In her own words she describes dance as freedom. “Dance kept me sane throughout my university days, it was my escape from the overwhelming feeling of stress. When I dance, I feel safe, free and even more alive.”
