MARCELLUS HILL JOINS THE HUNGER GAMES ON STAGE
We are utterly thrilled to see that Swindon Dance alumni Marcellus Hill has joined the original cast of The Hunger Games On Stage as Thresh in the world premiere.
“We are so extremely proud of Marcellus’ recent success. As a true Swindon Dance alumni and a dedicated member of our Talent Development Programmes, Marcellus went through all of our training programmes, from Steps2 and Just for Boys, to PhenoMENal and Swindon Youth Dance Comany. We witnessed first hand with Marcellus how vital and special these Programmes are to our students. Its where they gain the all important ground work and foundations to be able to go and train intensively with resilience and confidence. Marcellus showed up to every class with heart and determination, which gained him his place on the Swindon Dance, Centre for Advanced Training (CAT). We knew from there that Marcellus was going to be successful, he brought spirit and hard work which resulted in him progressing onto further training at Urdang Academy and then a musical theatre debut as Thad in Hairspray (UK Tour) 24/25. Keep being you Marcellus, we are all so proud of you.”
Katie Purcell, Head of Activities
“Marcellus was an absolute privilege to teach for so many years. His larger-than-life character, laughter and boundless energy kept me on my toes. It was obvious from our first class that he was born to dance but it was his determination, grit and hard work that enabled him to reach his full potential. I’m so proud of the person and dancer he has become. Marcellus is living proof that dreams do come true if you work hard enough”
