Exciting new initiative for the town
We are delighted to support this exciting new initiative from Swindon Cultural Collective and Swindon 2029 and encourage all our customers to join in the the conversation
"Swindon has always been a place where people build the future - from the railways and radical ideas of the past to the innovation, creativity and ambition shaping our town today. Now, we want to imagine what comes next together.“
“As part of Swindon’s bid to become UK City of Culture 2029, we’re inviting residents across the borough to join the conversation through #WeDreamInPublic - a growing movement of ideas, stories and hopes for Swindon’s future.”
Swindon 2029 is working with Swindon Culture Collective to gather ideas from across our borough as we prepare our full UK City of Culture 2029 bid before the deadline on 10 August, which gives winners a £10m grant for a year of celebration in 2029.
Throughout May, you’ll find #WeDreamInPublic postcards, idea boxes and creative events across Swindon, from the town centre to our villages. You may even spot our temporary artwork outside the Zurich building, inviting everyone to dare to dream big, bold futures for Swindon and the country.”
“Culture has the power to transform places and open opportunity. City of Culture 2029 can supercharge Swindon’s creativity, growth and ambition."
